Cytora, the artificial intelligence company transforming commercial underwriting, has today announced winning ‘Risk Modelling Technology of the Year’ at the 2018 Insurance Times Tech & Innovation Awards.

The Insurance Times Tech & Innovation Awards celebrate business excellence and innovation in insurance, judged by a panel of independent experts from across the industry.

The award recognises Cytora’s Risk Engine technology, which uses artificial intelligence to learn the patterns of good and bad risks over time. The Risk Engine provides insurers with a more complete view of every risk, enabling them to provide the right level of protection at a fair price that reflects the true level of exposure.

Cytora’s Risk Engine has been deployed by a number of leading global insurers to transform commercial underwriting, including QBE, MS Amlin, and Starr Companies.

“It’s an honour to receive the Risk Modelling Technology of the Year award,” said Richard Hartley, CEO, Cytora. “Leveraging data and AI, Cytora is driving advances in risk modelling that are crucial to the future of insurance, enabling us to understand risk in a more granular way than ever before, and more importantly, reduce risk for businesses all over the world. It’s exciting that Cytora is at the forefront of this.”
